HISTORY

The Hollywood Hill Saddle Club was founded in 1976 by Maxine Keesling and Barbara Bonnow. The two brought up the idea of an equestrian park to King County in order to give Hollywood Hill a purpose through healthy activity. The park was established in the empty gravel pit that is now Hollywood Hill Elementary, using locally logged wood to make the fences. The park was later moved to its present site and underwent an upgrade. The land was transferred to the Parks Department and given a 30-year lease. In return, the volunteers that founded the club were required to rebuild the club. They sought high-quality materials with a 50-year longevity, while also prioritizing safety and low-maintenance. The Hollywood Hill Saddle Club was founded on a mission to bring equestrians together, based on hard volunteer work and dedication to the community. We continue to try to make the club a friendly and open community.

ABOUT US

The Hollywood Hill Saddle Club is a volunteer-run facility located in Woodinville, Wa. We are proud to offer a fun and friendly environment for riders of all ages and experience levels. We offer shows from April-October but our facility is open year-round from dawn until dusk everyday. The facility offers a large sand arena, small warm up arena, round pen, and trail course. There is easy access to Gold Creek Park trails and lots of horse trailer parking.

We love to be involved and engaging with our community. Our volunteers work hard year-round to make the park a perfect place to bring friends and family for an exciting day. Even if horses aren't your passion, we encourage all people to visit the club and watch a few events. Auditing any event is free and we welcome new members any time of the year.
